Payments Flow

Flexibility is the fundamental pillar of ALPS. As an API-based solution, it enables businesses to process and manage incoming cash flows efficiently, securely, and without development limitations.

This capability allows companies to automate and optimize their collection processes, ensuring a smooth and frictionless experience for all parties involved.

Key Roles:

Shopper:
The end user who completes the checkout process through one of the payment gateways connected and configured with ALPS to generate a payment.
Their experience is centered on a secure, fast, and frictionless transaction using various payment methods depending on the country, which is directly linked to the Channels.

Merchant:
The organization that needs to process the shopper’s payment through different existing channels.

ALPS (API):
Acts as a gateway that connects various stakeholders for local payment processing across LATAM markets.
It provides integrations with multiple local services, ensuring robust regulatory compliance and seamless integration with local payment methods.

Partner/Provider:
The service that processes payments using local payment methods, adapting to the specific requirements of each country.
Notable examples include Yape (Peru), Transbank (Chile). Each provider manages local particularities, such as preferred payment methods and regulatory requirements within their interfaces.

Webhook Payment Notification:
A service that delivers a response regarding the outcome of the shopper's transaction via webhook. This is requested during the integration/onboarding process with the merchant.
It provides real-time data to inform the merchant, ensuring that the process remains transparent and traceable.
